Space & equipment

Are these separate studios?

No. Photography, video, after-hours and podcast bookings use the same AI Studios space. Choose the package that includes the setup you need.

What is included in a photography or video session?

The studio rate gives you access to the infinity wall and/or 9 ft. seamless paper, photo and video lighting, strobe triggers, softboxes, a beauty dish and other modifiers, portrait stools and V-flats. Available continuous-light options include the 600d, Nova P300C and tube lights. There are 4 change rooms that can be repurposed to suit your needs. Contact us before your session to confirm the lighting and setup you need.

How many microphones are included for podcasting?

Your selected 2-, 3- or 4-person setup includes one microphone, arm and headset for each recording participant, counting hosts and guests. For example, 3 persons includes 3 microphones, 3 arms and 3 headsets, plus one shared RØDECaster Pro II.

Which seamless paper backdrops can I use?

Our 9 ft. seamless paper selection includes colours such as Super White, Thunder Gray, Black, Primary Red, Mint Green, Blue Jay and more. Colours may change over time and are subject to availability. Please confirm your preferred colour before your session.

One backdrop colour is included for each hour of your studio booking. A 3-hour booking, for example, includes 3 backdrop colours. Each additional backdrop colour costs TT$100.

Will the cyc wall have a fresh coat of paint?

We do our best to keep the cyc wall in a workable condition. It is not freshly painted after every session, so some marks or scuffs from previous use may be visible. If a fresh coat of paint is essential for your shoot, please arrange this with us in advance. A fresh coat can be provided for an additional fee, with the cost confirmed before proceeding.

How is additional studio equipment charged?

Additional equipment used in the studio is billed at 10% of its daily rental rate per hour. For example, a lens with a daily rental rate of TT$400 costs TT$40 per hour in the studio.

The charge is based on the full length of your studio booking, rather than how long you intend to use the equipment. Explore equipment through our partner AI Photo/Video Equipment Rentals and contact us to confirm availability and your setup. Browse rental equipment.

Can I arrange production support or bring a larger team?

For video recording, editing, technical assistance, a larger group, an event or a different layout, contact us before booking with your requirements so we can confirm a suitable setup, availability and any additional costs.

Times, payment & policies

What setup details should I send before my session?

Please confirm attendance and tell us whether you need continuous or strobe lighting, the number of lights, the modifier types and sizes (such as umbrellas or softboxes), and whether you prefer seamless paper with the colour specified or the cyclorama wall.

Does my booking include load-in, setup and prep time?

Yes. Load-in, setup and preparation all count within your booked studio time. Please arrive on time. Entry is permitted no earlier than 15 minutes before your scheduled start. Your booked use of the studio, including load-in, setup and prep, begins at the scheduled start time; for an 8:00 AM session, the space is available for your session from 8:00 AM.

What if I arrive late or need more time?

Your rental starts and ends at the scheduled times, even if you arrive late. You may extend your session if there is no booking immediately after yours. Extensions carry an additional cost and the minimum extension is 30 minutes. If your scheduled session has ended and you request additional time outside regular opening hours, a new session starts at the After Hours rate. Please contact us to arrange more time.

When must I leave, and what happens if I run over?

You must vacate the studio by your booking’s scheduled end time so we can clean the space and prepare equipment for the next client. Allow time to finish your shoot, pack up and leave before your booking ends.

If your shoot or prep continues beyond the booked end time, an extension of at least 30 minutes will be charged. Please vacate on time to avoid extra fees.

When does the After Hours studio rate apply?

The rate is based on your session’s scheduled start time. A session starting at or after closing time is an After Hours booking. Regular closing time is 5:00 PM Monday–Friday and 1:00 PM on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

If your session is scheduled to start before closing time, the regular hourly rate applies for the full scheduled booking, even when its scheduled end time is after closing. For example, a weekday booking from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM uses the regular rate; a weekday booking starting at 5:00 PM uses the After Hours rate.

If your scheduled session has ended and you request additional time outside regular opening hours, that additional time starts a new session at the After Hours rate, subject to availability. Choose the After Hours booking option above to view available times, durations and pricing.

When is payment required for a studio booking?

For bookings of 4 hours or more, payment is required within 24 hours of making the booking to hold your time slot. For sessions shorter than 4 hours, payment is required on or before arrival.

Studio payments can be made by cash, debit/credit card or online transfer. For an online transfer, proof of transfer is required at least 2 days before the booked date.

What is the studio cancellation policy?

Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time receive a full refund. Cancellations or rescheduling made less than 48 hours but at least 24 hours before the start incur a 50% fee. Within 24 hours, full payment is required.
